hypermesh

DESCRIPTION

Altair HyperMesh is a high-performance finite element pre- and post-processor for major finite element solvers, allowing engineers to analyze design conditions in a highly interactive and visual environment. HyperMesh's user-interface is easy to learn and supports the direct use of CAD geometry and existing finite element models, providing robust interoperability and efficiency. Advanced automation tools within HyperMesh allow users to optimize meshes from a set of quality criteria, change existing meshes through morphing and generate mid-surfaces from models of varying thickness.

Altair HyperView is a complete post-processing and visualization environment for finite-element analysis (FEA), multi-body system simulation, video and engineering data. HyperView can visualize data interactively, as well as capture, standardize and automate post-procesing activities. HyperView also saves 3D animation results in Altair's compact H3D format. This enables users to visualize and share CAE results within a 3D web environment and Microsoft PowerPoint, usering Altair HyperView Player®

FROZEN SOFTWARE

The latest version of Hypermesh/Hyperview are licensed perpetually, but is no longer under maintenance (no updates).

The definition of FROZEN SOFTWARE in the AFRL DSRC software environment is as follows:

  1. Software Maintenance, if any, will not be renewed.
  2. No upgrades to the software will be made, unless the upgrade is received while the software is still in maintenance.
  3. Frozen Software will be allowed to run 'as is'.
NOTE: If the software breaks, then the software will be removed from the particular system or the entire AFRL DSRC environment, as appropriate.
  4. Once software is frozen, it can only be 'unfrozen' by having the request go through the requirement process for adding software to the AFRL DSRC environment.
